Track Name: Lakeside Drive
Our feet were melting to the concrete but the sun was going down for the day. We saw everything we wanted from that side of the lake. Sometimes we talk with complete disengagement. Sometimes we make up words that no ones ever heard. If I could only think of one thing for the rest of my days, it'd be nothing. I'll keep holding my breath.
Track Name: Two Miles
It's at least two miles either way to any place that you can normally find me. Watch me close because usually this is where my feet slip out from under me. I don't have to tell you that I'm playing it safe with my moves.
Track Name: Hands Off
Not much matters when you're scared to leave your room. Scared of what will happen when trying to rely on your hands to keep off of what doesn't belong to you. I've got friends who don't speak up and I've been told to keep my mouth shut.
Track Name: Trophy Son
Do you remember the things you've said to me? After twenty-five long years of uncertainty. Eighteen was your magic number, sometimes it's hard to call you my father.
Track Name: Drifting
I used to have a better way with words when I was younger. It seems my mind has started slipping since I've started sleeping longer. Drifting in and out of conversation; my mind is always wandering in anticipation of what might happen next, of what might not happen next.
